Wolf Dog (1958) "The Movie Made In Markdale
Welcome to the fan website dedicated to the 1958 Hollywood film "Wolf Dog", which began as "A Boy And His Dog" as the working title for a movie shot in Markdale, Holland Centre, Burleigh Falls and environs in August of 1957. The film disappeared for over 40 years, before Markdale area citizens began to reminisce about the event in their local newspaper's opinion page, particularly the Markdale Rotary Club. Being interested in the subject since Mrs. Freda Hunt, a school librarian at Beavercrest Public School in Markdale piqued my interest about the film, I began to research the subject and posted a website on Yahoo/Geocities in 2004. In 2009, Yahoo/Geocities ended their free web service, necessitating the end of the old fansite, which meant the old info would be lost, OR I had to rebuild.
A period of change in my life means this new site is a work in progress, so please be patient with me.
